DR. MONTORIA D. RICHARDS
Dr. Montoria D. Richards is a dedicated educator, advocate, and global community leader with a passion for empowering youth, fostering cross-cultural connections, and promoting lifelong learning. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a master’s degree in Education, and a Doctorate in Education. Currently pursuing a Ph.D., Dr. Richards remains steadfast in her pursuit of educational excellence, continuously expanding her knowledge and enhancing her ability to effect meaningful change in diverse communities.
Throughout her career, Dr. Richards has been actively engaged in numerous professional initiatives worldwide. Her contributions span across diverse cultural landscapes, including her work with Seoul, Korea’s Society for Peace and New Delhi, India’s World Culture organization, where she has promoted global understanding and cooperation. She has also championed youth empowerment through programs like Ghana’s Skills Training Program for Youth, equipping young people with practical skills to build brighter futures. Additionally, her commitment to faith-based initiatives is evident in her support of Jamaica’s Christian Foundation and the Sierra Leone Education and Christian Partnership, where she has helped strengthen educational opportunities and spiritual development.
Dr. Richards' impactful work has earned her recognition, including a prestigious scholarship from the Chicago Women’s Foundation for her pivotal role in advancing women’s leadership and community development through higher education programs aimed at reducing recidivism. Her service extends beyond education and advocacy; she also serves as a Chicago Chaplain, offering spiritual guidance and emotional support to those in need. With a steadfast commitment to creating sustainable opportunities for young people, Dr. Richards continues to leverage her expertise to inspire growth, resilience, and transformation in communities across the globe.
PASTOR CECELIA MOLINA
PASTOR CECELIA MOLINA is a compassionate and driven professional with a diverse background in customer service, administrative support, and bilingual communication. As a dedicated Spanish Pastor at One Church, she is deeply committed to fostering spiritual growth, supporting her congregation, and creating a welcoming environment for Spanish-speaking members. Her passion for helping others extends into every aspect of her professional life, where she continually strives to implement new ideas and strategies to increase productivity and enhance organizational success.
In her role as the Spanish Pastor at One Church, Pastor Cecelia provides spiritual guidance, leads worship services, and organizes community outreach initiatives. She is devoted to strengthening the church's connection with Spanish-speaking communities, offering pastoral care, mentorship, and support to individuals and families seeking faith-based growth.
Pastor Cecelia's skills and expertise include bilingual communication (English & Spanish), pastoral care and counseling, customer service and call handling, administrative support, data entry, scheduling and logistics coordination, and community outreach and mentorship. Her unwavering faith, compassionate leadership, and professional versatility make her an invaluable asset both in the ministry and in the workplace. Whether guiding her congregation or ensuring smooth organizational operations, she remains steadfast in her mission to uplift those around her and contribute meaningfully to every endeavor she undertakes.
RACHEL SIMPSON
RACHEL SIMPSON is an accomplished leader with a career dedicated to driving positive change in nonprofit organizations. Inspired by her father, who spent his life supporting individuals with disabilities, Rachel developed a passion for advocating for others from an early age. Over the years, she has worked extensively with individuals with disabilities and underserved youth, focusing on providing them with greater opportunities and support. Rachel's commitment to social impact also led her to serve as a consultant for corporations, helping them form strategic partnerships with nonprofit organizations to create lasting community change.
In her most recent role as the Chicago Chapter Director of the Sports Philanthropy Network, Rachel leveraged the power of sports to make a positive impact on social issues. She worked closely with athletes, organizations, and communities to harness sports' potential for driving social good and bringing awareness to important causes. Her leadership in the nonprofit sector has equipped her with invaluable skills in relationship building, program development, and creating impactful community partnerships.
Now, Rachel brings her expertise in leadership and relationship management to the real estate industry as a property manager for Pioneer Realty Group in Hyde Park. In this new role, she applies her knowledge of community engagement and problem-solving to ensure that tenants and property owners receive the highest level of service. Originally from Tennessee, Rachel now calls the Chicago suburbs home, where she lives with her husband, a paleontologist, and their two beloved cats. Her diverse background and passion for helping others continue to guide her in her professional and personal endeavors.
DR. WALE IDREEZE
DR. WALE IDREEZE Olawale Idreez is a distinguished Nigerian-American publisher, author, co-author, political analyst, freelance writer, and mentor whose work spans decades of dedication to storytelling and community engagement. Since arriving in the United States in 1980, he has earned numerous academic degrees, including an Associate of Arts (AA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Master of Arts (M.A.), and a Ph.D. in Political Science with a focus on International Relations. His insightful writings and contributions have earned him multiple awards, and he has co-authored a notable book, further solidifying his reputation as a prolific voice in the literary and political spheres.
In addition to his writing, Dr. Idreez has served as a trusted advisor on the Federal Credit Union Advisory Board, where his leadership and expertise have made a lasting impact. He is deeply passionate about investing in the future of youth, recognizing them as the leaders of tomorrow. His mentorship has guided countless young minds, and his work continues to inspire future generations to pursue knowledge and embrace their roles as global citizens.
A devoted family man, Dr. Idreez cherishes spending quality time with his loved ones, both in Nigeria and the United States. His life reflects a profound commitment to bridging cultures, building communities, and uplifting voices across borders. KATHY PRIAR
KATHY PRIAR is a dedicated and experienced educator with over 16 years of expertise in creating safe, structured, and productive learning environments. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to youth development and educational success, particularly within underserved communities. Kathy's ability to mentor, lead, and engage diverse groups has made her an invaluable asset in schools, where she focuses on goal setting, conflict resolution, and strategic planning. Her passion for youth empowerment and fostering positive relationships is central to her work as she continues to improve educational outcomes for her students.
Kathy has received numerous accolades for her work, including being named "ELA Teacher of the Year" for Holmes County Consolidated Schools in 2018-2019 and "Teacher of the Year" at the Holmes County Learning Center in 2010-2011. Her experience spans various teaching roles, from serving as an English teacher at Byhalia High School to her previous positions in
Greenwood Public Schools and Holmes County Consolidated School District. Kathy's dedication to continuous professional development is evident in her participation in workshops like the IReady Literacy Program and the Making Connections Conference for Teaching and Learning. Her leadership extends beyond the classroom as she actively participates in mentorship programs, community service initiatives, and various professional organizations.
In addition to her teaching expertise, Kathy is a skilled leader with a strong background in conflict resolution, problem-solving, and communication. She has a proven ability to set and achieve goals, aligning her efforts with organizational objectives. Her involvement in the Mississippi Association for Educators (MAE), Parents Teacher Organization (PTO), and mentorship programs reflects her commitment to community service and education. Kathy’s passion for creating opportunities for youth and her deep understanding of educational policies make her an asset to any organization focused on youth programs or community service.
PASTOR PETE MOLINA
PASTOR PETE MOLINA is a passionate and dedicated faith leader with a strong commitment to fostering spiritual growth, strengthening families, and expanding the reach of the church within Spanish-speaking communities. As the Leading Pastor of the Spanish Ministry at One Church in Chicago, IL, Pastor Pete leads worship services, provides pastoral care, and develops discipleship programs. His leadership creates a welcoming and spiritually enriching environment for congregants, and he oversees outreach initiatives that ensure the Spanish-speaking community receives meaningful support and guidance.
Before his role at One Church, Pastor Pete served as Pastor of Operations at Revival Tabernacle, where he played a crucial role in church expansion, administrative leadership, and community outreach. He managed church operations, volunteer teams, and facility maintenance, ensuring the smooth running of ministry programs. Outside of his ministry work, Pastor Pete has contributed as a Board Member for Men of Faith Ministries and Rays of Hope International, where he helped shape programs that empower men and uplift underserved communities.
In addition to his ministry, Pastor Pete dedicated 27 years of service to the Chicago Transit
Authority (CTA) as a Service Coordinator Clerk and worked at United Airlines as a Ramp Service Agent. His diverse background and leadership skills extend to bilingual pastoral care, marriage and family counseling, event coordination, and community engagement. Pastor Pete’s unwavering faith and commitment to building strong families, empowering individuals, and spreading the Gospel continue to shape lives and inspire transformation in every community he serves.
LORI SMITH
LORI SMITH has over 15 years of experience in social services and has built a successful career providing compassionate care and coordination for individuals in need. Serving as a Social Service Director from 2012 to 2021 at Symphony Post Acute Network in Chicago, IL, Lori specialized in coordinating discharge planning for patients in post-subacute care. They played a critical role in ensuring timely discharges by conducting assessments, creating comprehensive care plans, and working closely with physicians, patients, and families to determine the best course of action. Lori was also responsible for facilitating transfers to various care facilities, including acute hospitals and rehabilitative centers, and provided behavioral health assessments, psychotherapy, and substance abuse screenings.
In addition to their role as Social Service Director, Lori served as a Coordination and Utilization Manager, where they utilized their strong organizational and clinical skills to ensure that resources were used effectively and efficiently for patient care. Their responsibilities included assessing patient needs, coordinating the utilization of healthcare services, and ensuring that care plans were being followed while maintaining cost-effective practices. She also developed strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize patient care outcomes, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and support.
Before becoming the Social Service Director, Lori worked as a Social Service Coordinator at HCR ManorCare in Palos Heights, IL, where they completed social service components of MDS, conducted psychosocial assessments, and developed treatment plans for residents. Lori maintained open communication with staff, advocated for residents' rights, and ensured their personal and psychosocial needs were met. They also participated in weekly care plan conferences and worked closely with families to support patients' discharge plans. Additionally, Lori provided counseling and support services to both patients and their families during difficult times. With expertise in coordination, utilization management, and patient advocacy, she has dedicated their career to improving the well-being of others and ensuring successful care transitions.
AJIJOLA OJO
AJIJOLA OJO is a seasoned leader, entrepreneur, and advocate with over 20 years of experience in youth development and economic empowerment, particularly in underserved communities. Currently, he serves as the Area Director for the Union League Boys and Girls Club, where he oversees four Englewood sites. In this role, Ajijola has played a critical part in securing millions of dollars in funding to support after-school programs, mentorship, and educational resources for youth in Chicago’s vulnerable neighborhoods.
In addition to his work at the Boys and Girls Club, Ajijola is the Economic Development Coordinator at the Leadership Development Center, where he creates economic opportunities by promoting financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and workforce development in inner-city communities. He also serves as a management consultant, helping local businesses navigate challenges and thrive in competitive markets. His commitment to community service extends to his roles as the Welfare Officer at Leading Lights Church and Program Director at PURE Unity, where he organizes initiatives that address socio-economic challenges.
As a licensed Real Estate Agent and Developer, Ajijola has spent over two decades revitalizing urban spaces and promoting homeownership in marginalized communities. He is also the former CEO of Ajibaba Music Entertainment Company, where he blended his entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for the arts. Currently pursuing a Ph.D., Ajijola continues to deepen his understanding of socio-economic issues to create sustainable solutions. His work is a testament to his dedication to empowering youth and driving positive change in underserved communities.
BELIVIA RIDGELL
BELIVIA RIDGELL is a seasoned professional with a broad background in payroll supervision, customer service, and operational support. She currently serves as the Supervisor of AO Gross Pay at United Airlines, where she plays a key role in overseeing payroll functions, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processes, and leading a team to resolve payrollrelated inquiries. With her attention to detail and leadership skills, Belivia has been instrumental in maintaining efficient payroll operations, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.
With over 20 years of experience at United Airlines, Belivia has demonstrated remarkable versatility across a variety of roles. She began as a Reservation Sales Coordinator and later transitioned into an Onboard Service Coordinator position, where she honed her ability to manage complex processes, train staff, and deliver exceptional service to both employees and customers. Her deep understanding of payroll operations and customer service has allowed her to effectively lead teams and support United Airlines' mission to provide high-quality service to its workforce.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Belivia holds an Associate Degree in Computer Programming from the College of Automation, which has equipped her with valuable technical skills to support her work. Outside of her career, she is committed to giving back to the community, dedicating her time to volunteering with the Special Olympics and participating in United Airlines Hiring Events. Belivia's extensive experience, technical expertise, and commitment to service make her a valuable asset in both her professional and volunteer roles.
JEREE CARDENAS
JEREE CARDENAS is a dynamic and passionate digital creator, entrepreneur, and advocate for cancer survivors. As the owner and president of Jeree Cardenas Photography and Express Yourself Magazine, he has built a reputation for providing exceptional videography, photography, and marketing services, particularly for Hispanic cultural events. His entrepreneurial spirit drives him to capture the vibrancy and essence of the Hispanic community while offering invaluable services to clients seeking to showcase their stories and celebrations.
A leader in the Hispanic community, Jeree's work extends beyond his business ventures. He is dedicated to empowering cancer survivors and advocating for their voices, ensuring their stories are heard and honored. Through his photography and videography, he captures more than just moments; he captures the resilience, strength, and hope of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
In addition to his creative pursuits, Jeree is an influential networker, constantly seeking partnerships in diverse communities to foster growth and collaboration. GWENDOLYN LESLIE
GWENDOLYN LESLIE is a passionate advocate with a rich background in the non-profit sector, dedicated to serving individuals and families across diverse communities. As an Office Manager for a Texas-based non-profit, she supports a team that delivers vital services and resources to regions across 44 states and 30 countries.
Previously, Gwendolyn worked as a Community Specialist, where she empowered individuals through practical training in resume writing and employment skills. Her experience as a Career Counselor further highlights her commitment to guiding clients along their educational and professional journeys, helping them navigate the steps to achieve their career aspirations.
In addition to her work in career development, Gwendolyn has excelled as a Social Media Specialist and Content Manager, crafting impactful campaigns that boosted awareness and online engagement. Her expertise has been recognized on major platforms — she served as a panelist at a prominent women’s conference in Atlanta, speaking to an audience of over 25,000 attendees on personal and professional development. Her community work extends to women of faith in Chicago, where she has contributed to initiatives addressing socio-economic challenges and gun violence prevention.
Deeply rooted in her Christian faith, Gwendolyn believes that spiritual growth flourishes through embracing diverse experiences and expressions of faith. Raised in a devout Christian household, she holds close the "Lessons and Blessings" that have shaped her spirituality, learning to trust in God’s plan while honoring the faith journeys of others. Her passion lies in exploring how God is perceived across different cultures, viewing these diverse expressions as catalysts for spiritual enrichment.
